Kari Auringer, winemaker, describes herself as a hands-on winemaker and gladly immerses herself in all aspects of the winemaking process from vineyard to bottle. If you don’t find her tasting barrel samples in the winery, she is probably out kicking the dirt in a vineyard.

Kari notes, “I am thrilled to be part of the team at Cornerstone Cellars. We are committed to producing great wines from great vineyards, and making the kind of wines that we want to drink.”

At Cornerstone Cellars, we make wines to please people, not focus groups. Thinking about how real people experience and enjoy our wines is the job of our winemaker, Kari Auringer. Over the years, Kari has built a reputation in and around California’s wine districts as a truly accomplished winemaker. Her creativity and craftsmanship are what makes our wines unique.

Howell Mountain

The birthplace of Cornerstone Cellars in 1991, and the flagship wine in our porfolio ever since, it's an understatement to say Howell Mountain holds a special in our hearts. Grown at high elevation high above the fogline resting over the valley floor, our expression of Cabernet Sauvignon captures what is wonderful about this region..

Rutherford

The home to several world-renown wineries in the Napa Valley, we are fortunate toproduce a Cabernet Sauvignon from a remarkableand well-respected vineyard onthe valley floor with over a century of history.

Oakville

Formerly a portion of the iconic To-Kalon and surrounded by the celebrated vintners of Oakville, the Oakville Station is not only a premium vineyard but also a world-class research facility for UC Davis. Cornerstone Cellars has been a proud partner of this vineyard for over a decade.

Calistoga

At the north of the Napa Valley and peppered with natural hot springs lies one of the more recently added AVA's: Calistoga. Our Cabernet Sauvignon expresses a solid core of red and black fruit, spice notes, and a dried earthiness, distinct from the red earth in this hillside region.

Benchlands

Our blended Cabernet Sauvignon with fruit from all of our celebrated AVA's including Oakville, Rutherford, and St. Helena. A hallmark of Cornerstone Cellars, we're pleased to share our vision of a Napa Valley blend with you.

Sta. Rita Hills

The Sta. Rita Hills of Santa Barbara County has long been a premier region for growing Burgundian varietals, enjoying the cooling coastal influence from thePacific Ocean. We're pleased to partner with the Fiddlestix Vineyard for our PinotNoir.

Sonoma Mountain

Our neighboring region, Sonoma Mountain AVA is home to a diverse collection ofmicro-climates of exposed hillsides, altitudes and shaded drainages growing anequally diverse range of varietals. Our Sauvignon Blanc grows on the famed FarinaVineyard.
